South senior earns scholarship that the seventh annual Shannon McMillen Memorial Scholarship was awarded to South Eugene High School senior Rachael Blank. $ 1,000 Scholarship was created in 2004 by members of the Institute of Urology at Oregon in memory of their partner, a local doctor and former parent Eugene South. The scholarship is awarded to a student of Eugene South who has demonstrated excellence in soccer, music, debate or Government. Blank was captain of soccer and girls lacrosse teams and is also the only girl in the team of football as a kicker. She received a $250 savings for its pastel composition of oil titled "abroad".The Ford family Foundation honors 100 The Ford Foundation of the family of Roseburg has selected 100 students of the Oregon as new Ford researchers, including Shelby Wanser of South Eugene high school, Jill Ann Watkins of Creswell High School, Ana Pena of Springfield High School and Tatiana Bakhtina of Lane College community University of Oregon. Four students IHS will receive the honours of the Eugene School District honored four international students week last for their undergraduate International Studies. Eighth-graders Nathan Armendariz and Skyann Weaver had winners in a recent test competition on the importance of saving money for College, sponsored by the leadership of Eugene-Springfield of the society of the Financial Services Professionals.Creswell student wins Zonta award CRESWELL - Jill Ann Watkins of Creswell high school received the Zonta Club of Springfield-Eugene 2011 young women in public affairs Award. His full name was not included in employees of district education Extra.Eugene last week that retired School District employees honored Eugene who retire at the end of the school year at a reception at the Centre of the district education. Several employees who retire have left a list printed in the Extra education last week. They are Vira Bolton, Tim Carmichael, Charles Deeks, Betty Hauck, Mike Horowitz, Sally Huling, Jocelyn Lamar, Linda McClellan, Patty Merrill, Debbie Nankivell, Marilyn Nersesian, Maryanne Paulson, George Russell, Linda Thies, Stanley Washburn and Aletha Willis. In addition, the name of retired employee Toni Rosselli has been misspelled last week.
